Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain Veneers are a thin layer of porcelain placed over a tooth to improve the aesthetics and function of a tooth. They will enhance the beautiful appearance of your smile whether you want to change a few teeth or want a complete Smile Makeover. Porcelain Veneers are shells of ceramic material which are chemically bonded to the tooth structure. When considering Veneers, the shape of your face, smile line and complexion are looked at to determine the final result.
Porcelain Veneers can be implemented to correct the following conditions

- Cracked or chipped teeth
- Worn Teeth

Porcelain Veneers can create an aesthetic and well-proportioned smile. Unlike the process of Porcelain Crowns, veneers require very little reduction of the natural tooth. Bonded straight to the tooth’s existing structure, Porcelain Veneers use a relatively conservative technique.

1. Consultation
The initial visit to our clinic will be a comprehensive consultation where you can discuss any concerns with one of our Dentists. You’ll discuss what you would like to achieve as a result and what costs and options are available to you.
2. Scale & Polish and Diagnostics
Following this you will see our Hygienist to assess your gum health, perform a scale and clean and an intraoral scan. This allows us to then create a treatment plan, tailored to your individual needs, along with an opportunity to review what your result will look like with a wax mock-up from our lab.
3. Preparing your teeth
The first appointment will include the preparation of the tooth, which involves shaping the tooth ever so slightly and an impression for our lab to manufacture the final veneer. A temporary provisional veneer will be placed to the prepared tooth.
4. Dental veneers final bonding!
Approximately 2 weeks after your preparation appointment the temporary veneers are removed and the permanent cemented to the teeth individually.

Early Release of Superannuation on Compassionate Grounds (ERS)
At Dental 359 we can help you with access to your superannuation.
To be eligible to withdraw some of your super on compassionate grounds, the medical treatment cannot be readily available through the public health system and you the applicant must have acute or chronic pain which can be reversed with proposed treatment.
What treatments can qualify of ERS?
- You have acute or chronic pain
- Your teeth are no longer fit for purpose and you are unable to chew your food properly
- Your teeth are loose and breaking down or you have missing teeth
- You need total oral rehabilitation and complex treatment such as All-on-4 dental implants and denture replacement.
- If you require treatment which is only cosmetic in nature you will not qualify for ERS
The amount of super you can withdraw is limited to what you reasonably need. It is paid and taxed as a normal super lump sum.
The application is completed online and does require specific documentation as supporting evidence. Our clinic assists with the collection of these documents and the process of applying.
