Meet the Team at Dental 359 Subiaco

Dr Kia is a maker at heart. He came to dentistry because it let him do the things he’s always loved and excelled at: working with his hands, solving a problem that helps someone, and putting technology to good use. Originally from Queensland, Dr Kia graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2021.

Being drawn to pursuits that mix precision and creativity, it’s no surprise that Dr Kia plays music in his free time, as well as enjoying the outdoors.

Dr Hooman Golestani founded Dental 359 and has spent more than 25 years caring for patients while developing the practice in Subiaco.

Dr Golestani graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Western Australia in 1989 and now focuses on cosmetic and implant work. He’s a highly experienced and respected clinician who keeps studying, following the research and updating how he works – because he knows that’s what good care means. Many of our longest-standing patients have been seeing him for decades.

Shanaya is our Senior Dental Nurse at Dental 359. Building on her experience within the practice, she has also progressed into the role of Clinical Team Lead, leading the clinical team and helping ensure every patient receives the highest standard of care. With 8 years' experience in the dental industry, Shanaya brings a wealth of clinical knowledge and a genuine passion for dentistry to the role. She studied at Dental Nursing Australia, where she completed her Certificate III and IV in Dental Assisting. She is energetic and enthusiastic in everything she does, always willing to go the extra mile for her patients and to support her team in delivering an exceptional experience. Outside of work, Shanaya loves exploring the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and baking sweet treats.

Xanthia joined Dental 359 in March 2025 after completing Certificates III and IV in Dental Assisting at North Metropolitan TAFE. She enjoys seeing the difference dental treatment can make for a patient, and supports our dentists throughout appointments to help keep care organised and comfortable. Away from dentistry, she keeps active with Pilates and likes experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

Kathy has 6 years of experience in the industry. She studied at Dental Nurses of Australia where she received her certificate III and IV in dental assisting. Kathy is passionate about making people feel comfortable, informed and excited about their smile journey. She really enjoys getting to know her patients, creating a relaxed, welcoming experience and making sure every patient feels genuinely looked after. Outside of work, you’ll usually find her spending time with family and friends, enjoying good food or spending time with her much loved pets.

Joseph joined Dental 359 in April 2026 as Brand Manager, a newly created role built to sharpen and grow the practice's identity as it scales. With over five years' experience across education and international marketing, he brings a mix of brand strategy, campaign execution and data led decision making to the table. Joseph specialises in taking an existing identity and building on it with intent, from full rebrands and website redesigns to the digital campaigns, content and events that keep a brand visible and growing. In addition, Joseph also runs the operations of the practice, supporting Dr Thomas Munro in making sure the day to day runs as smoothly as the brand looks, keeping the business organised, efficient and set up for the next stage of growth.

Sapphire keeps the whole clinic running. Her understanding of both the clinical and front-desk sides of a dental practice is the reason a busy day at Dental 359 still feels calm. Before joining Dental 359 in 2018, Sapphire completed Certificates III and IV in Dental Assisting. Today, she helps keep the clinic organised behind the scenes while supporting both patients and the dental team. If you’ve been coming to Dental 359 for a while, there’s a good chance you already know Carina. She has been welcoming patients since Dental 359 first opened more than 25 years ago. That impressive experience means she knows the clinic inside and out, and remembers the people who have been returning to us year after year. Her calm, welcoming manner helps make the waiting room feel less like a waiting room. At home, Carina enjoys cooking and entertaining with family.
